Apollo Medskills is an education initiative of Apollo Hospitals in collaboration with Finance Ministry of India and the National Skill Development Corporation aiming to make Indian Medical students competant at a global level. With an objective of imparting world- class medical training and introducing innovative teaching methodologies among students, Apollo Medskills  laid the foundation for 3 Centers for excellence in - Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore.

We started the project with long brainstornig sessions with the CEO over space planning fordesignated areas like class rooms, labs, a state of art, hi-tech conference, the cafetaria, reception and lobby.  Without compromizing on space optimization that focussed on functionality, we treated each area differently to bring out a certain element of peppiness and openness. We conceptualised bright colors and open ambience to enhance the learning experience of students.

To give it a distinct persona which the youngster can identify with, we used matt grey flooring combined with bright colors bursting out, tall glass walls and windows, elaborate graphics related to medical concepts on glass panels and a common entertainment area for visitors and students  . Even though the reception and lounge entertainment area was common, no one but the students could get access to labs and class rooms.

The idea was to attract more and more students to join and enjoy the experiencial learning environment at Apollo and recommend the same.
